Rebecca E. Cahan
Associate Attorney
Rebecca E. Cahan is an associate with AVERY CAMERLINGO KILL, LLC. She is a graduate of the University of Michigan (B.A. Political Science, 2000) and the New York Law School (J.D. 2005). She also attended the Drake University/Institute of Italian Studies in Florence, Italy in 1999.
Prior to graduating from New York Law School, Ms. Cahan worked as a Community Program Coordinator in the Community Affairs Unit of the Bronx County District Attorney’s Office in New York. During law school, Rebecca worked as an intern for a New York Supreme Court Judge.
Rebecca has concentrated her practice in all aspects of family law. She has successfully litigated numerous issues relating to all aspects of divorce proceedings including child support, child support enforcement, visitation, contempt proceedings maintenance (formerly known as alimony), asset allocation and the like. Rebecca has also successfully litigated issues to the Illinois appellate court.
Rebecca has worked extensively on employment law matters at ACK which includes appearing in Federal Court proceedings.
Ms. Cahan is a member of the Chicago Bar Association, the Women’s Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association.
